“Shouldn’t the job go to the most qualified applicant?”
Of course it should, but like my mom used to say “What should be and what is are often 2 different things.”
The sad fact is that getting a job is a different matter than doing it. With the job market being so bad and every potential employer being buried in applications, just getting an interview can be a lot harder than the job it’s for.
All this being said it would seem that only the very best people would have a chance, but it isn’t so. Shortlisting candidates has never been an exact science, and hiring managers are simply too overwhelmed to give applications more than a quick glance before making a decision on whether to call them in or trash them. That means that how your resume is written is at least as important as what’s in it.
Which is where we come in: we’re sick of watching good people suffer while less able, less competent people succeed. Getting the interview is its own skill, and we have it. Acing the interview another, and we can help you out there too.
Your dream job is out there. You know it, we know it. Let us help you get it.
